What inspired you to use Woodland Albums? The look of The Legend album.

What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you think of Woodland Albums? The quality and uniqueness.

Share with us your favorite Woodland album and why. What materials/ options do you choose? The Legend. Mostly I use the original design in the dark brown color option. I choose the option of debossing the couple’s names on the outside flap.

What type of clients do you think will enjoy these albums? Those who enjoy the fine art appeal and free-spirited vibe.

How long have you been a photographer?  Eight years in weddings.

How did you discover your passion for photography? I’ve been obsessed with cameras and photographing since I was a little girl. One day I decided to turn that passion into a career, and it took off.

How do you define your style? Natural and organic. Nothing about a traditional photo shoot speaks to my heart. Rather, I create experiences. I want to capture the authentic feelings between soul-inspired lovers. The approach I take photographing couples has a beautiful way of manifesting the greatest emotions that will radiate through the lens.

What would we find in your camera bag for a typical shoot? Canon gear all the way. A couple of 5d Mark iii’s, 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.2, 100mm 2.8, 70-200mm 2.8, and a few Speedlite 600ex-rt’s

Your favorite lens? By far the Canon 85mm 1.2

Share with us your favorite image and why. Oh I have a lot of favorites. If I was forced to choose only one, I’d have to say this intimate shot captured in Malibu. The closeness of their embrace, the way he strokes her arm, the dress, his hair, and this list could go on and on.

When you are shooting—how much of it is instinctual versus planned? Very little is actually planned. I want to create authentic moments naturally rather than planning everything. I like the beautiful way the Universe brings us what we need when we trust the creative flow.

What are some of your rules of thumb in photography? Be yourself in your work. Photograph was puts fire in your soul. Don’t be afraid to be all of you. Your energy attracts your tribe.

Whose work, photography or otherwise, are you inspired by and why? I don’t really have a particular photographer that I can narrow down. I follow a lot of amazing artists on Instagram who inspire me. I guess the best way to answer the question is to say anyone who lives out west and gets to photograph these beautiful landscapes I love every single day. I travel often for destination weddings and adventurous elopements, but I could always use a little more western vibes.

What is it you like the most about being a photographer? That I can capture the essence of shared love between two souls. I love that I get to give my couples something only I can give them. Every photographer would capture the same event differently. And I love that I can uniquely capture the energy I feel between lovers and portray that through creative art.

If you weren’t a photographer what would you be? I already do what I would do if I wasn’t a photographer. I express myself through creations inspired by my travels and spiritual journey on Wander Knot. I make and sell metaphysical based jewelry, crystal candles, and design clothing.
